get an air purifier for his room or a Vicks night time vapor night light. Both just make the air easier to breathe and will help soothe his throat from the hard coughing that goes with bronchitis. Good luck

Reoccuring bronchitis is a real pain. The best thing you can do is make sure he has a flu shot. Then keep him bundled in cold weather, hat and the whole bit. Once they get bronchitis, it does come back more frequently. My son had it about that age and has had it every year since. This year was the worst, he had it twice, he's 17 now. Make sure when the air is really cold outside that he wears a scarve to keep the cold air out of his lungs. These little things do help keep the frequency of bronchitis down. I have 3 I've been fighting it with this winter.

there is nothing you can do. I got bronchitis all the time as a kid. and my kids have had it a few times. It is a bacterial infection. It is not to do with a clean house or anything like that. If they get it, get anti biotics and let them rest for a few days. They will get over it and be back to there old selves quite quickly.
You could always wrap them in a bubble but I don't thing that is too practical. Kids and adults get sick. It is unavoidable. Hope they are better soon. Mine are just getting over pharyngitis and trachyitis so I know how you feel

Bronchitis can be caused by the flu, or by bacteria. So in that sense, it may just be a fluke that he got it. Since you aren't smokers and have a clean house, you are doing all you can. You may consider getting your child the flu shot next year.

my son is only 4 and he's had recurring broncitus since he was 6 months old. i know what you're going through. we as mothers try our hardest to protect them from everything, cleaning like crazy, bundling them up, even not giving him milk! but sometimes it's their own little bodies telling mother nature that they can fight this and get through it. all i can do for my son is not give him milk because the mucus just builds up that way, along with nebulizer treatments. albuteral is the best thing we've found so far. good luck to you.

Talk to his doctor about asthma and allergy testing. Sometimes chronic brochitis can be related to allergies or asthma, or even mold in your home. If you know what he is allergic to, maybe you can avoid those things and it might help. Poor guy, I hope he feels better.
