Yes and no I believe the blind can be amazing artists and have wonderful imaginations to share but better paintings? I think they can imagine in a different way then we can. Humans can even comprehend infinite space but we know it exists. You can make amazing art w/o being 100 percent original I think to be a good artist you have to learn from others. You unique perspective and experiences and understandings of the mediums is what makes it great. I think blind sculpture work is amazing but painting .... idk .... how would you decibel a color to someone who has never seen it If you close ur eyes and say ok blue feels cold and taste like water or what ever you imagine 100 people would say it feels and smells and so on different and the only way top see a color is to actually see it so I'm going to go with No

First of all, no one has ever advanced a well-agreed upon definition of what "art" or "artists" are, so your question is moot. Even so, it's almost certainly the case that originality is not the hallmark of an artist. Certainly originality is annoyingly prized, these days, but that's more a feature of our myopic society and its lack of any sort of rational aesthetic sense. When you don't know what you like, the best you can hope for is eternally chasing novelty, in the hopes that some day, someone might actually create something that would raise you out of your torpor.

In brief: no, and your question is an insult to everyone.

Good artists don't copy, they steal-Picasso
Blind people can be creative and original, but so can people who can see. If you are unhappy with just copying what you see than maybe you should become an actual artist and emprovise upon what you see-create what you know.

They are not the only true artist, Yes, they have a different form of creation

But there are plenty of artists out there, who create original pieces, that are not copies of anything.

You are going by the premise all artist with eyesight are copying what they see and that is far from the truth, so really this theory has no valid support and is greatly flawed.

So to answer your question; No.
