Because they've been around a very long time. They've seen a lot, heard a lot, & know a lot more than you. When they tell you something its for your own good.

that's a simple answer - because they love you and want only the best for you. they have seen things in their life that went wrong, they have seen things in their childrens life that went wrong and they don't want you to make the same mistakes. they are trying to spare you the pain and see that you do things better than they did.

Because they know what's best for you. They have also thought and been thru what your going thru or are thinking about going thru. LISTEN they know. know your young and don't care but in the long run you will

because the time they lived in was much safer and better and seeing how much nowadays people live they got scared and becaome over-protective!

because they consider you as their child liek your parents, they are so used to caring for others, like their kids, and many grandparents consider you as one of their children that they also care about as deeply as their own.
