I am amazed at my experience on this site tonight.
There is so much animosity created because if religion. Sorry, it's mostly americans who are to blame, on this site anyway.

Basically, if you are a christian, or whatever, don't you realise the irony in hating other religions?! Christianity teaches love and forgiveness etc etc. I just cannot believe the cruelty i have seen some christians on this site use towards athiests, gay people, catholics, muslims, etc etc.

YOU ARE CHRISTIANS! You are not meant to hate! Yet you allow your religion create such disharmony, don't you see how wrong that is?!

No, it should not...but neither should be have to be abused. We can love others and pray for them and not like what they say and do. And we are allowed to speak up for our beliefs. I do not see that as hate....but I do feel hated here because of my beliefs.

If you are not a Christian, how do you know what a Christian is suppose to do? Can you hate evil? Can you hate the act of rape, child abuse, murder? Can you hate a belief you feel will keep someone from heaven? Many times Christians come across hating people, when it's not the person, but what they represent. Hating any of God's creatures is wrong. Hating the evil they do is another story. Yet God gave us the choice to live however we choose and as a Christian we should respect that choice. Even if it pains us to know the ultimate consequence.

The ideal Christian behavior is to act like Christ. I know we're learning, but by example, Christ taught us that certain behaviors are not acceptable, also any false teaching will keep us from returning to Him. So, we Christians, although we often do it in a manner very dissimilar to the way Christ did it, stand up passionately for what we believe is right. I don't think there is any harm in passionately promoting something, it wouldn't really sound believable if we didn't actually believe it. I really try not to hate people, thank you for increasing awareness, and on behalf of all Christians I apologize if anyone has ever offended you. But I do hate the sin, and I will fight against anything immoral or unjust that I can.

just because ppl say they are Christians doesnt mean they are. If they do not show through their actions, that they have Jesus in their hearts, then obv. they are not Christians.

So just ignor the so called christians on here and pay attention to the ones that show Christian qualities. People who start arguements usually are very unhappy in their hearts or just like getting attention.

There are some somewhat hardcore non secular human beings for the time of the international. right here in u . s . of america we can positioned human beings down and take care of them poorly and discriminate against them in line with non secular ideals, that I thoroughly renowned. in spite of if, it somewhat is tremendously uncommon and impressive for a citizen to explode a bus or spark off a street facet bomb to larger our non secular ideals. we could desire to be plenty worse. we are an extensive minded human beings in a large form of techniques however. it somewhat is somewhat unhappy once you think of of the justifications why American even extremely got here into existence. i assume we forgot.

I totally agree with you! Unfortunately, you are seeing a small vocal minority of Christians. Most of us realize that Jesus taught a life of love and not condemnation. Most Christians realize that Jesus wanted a community of inclusiveness.

So many miss the "mark", that religion is the problem with humanity and God. God speaks to humanity through "relationship" not religion. Religion breeds hate and division.

Should a religin make me do anything, I would kill myself. The haters are choosing to hate. Nobody forces hate upon another. Fitting in is a cop-out. Choice is ultimate to any action/thought.

I always thought religion taught about God. And God is a loving God. And God teaches us not to hate. Right? Or am I confused?
