There is no way to tell if it's strep or mono unless you get a culture taken/blood test. I have had sore throats before with white spots that wasn't strep. It's best to see your doctor.

Hmm.. that sounds like tonsilitis. I am not a doctor though so be safe. Go to the doctor. If you are having that much trouble with sore throats, swelling, etc., then talk to your doctor about having a tonsilectomy. Even adults have to have thier tonsils removed sometimes. Your doctor will know what to do.

It's cancer. ah, just kidding but your giving me anxiety. Maybe it is from stress. I can feel it coming off the page. You can remove your tonsils, or not, when ever. As for the white spots, even if someone here is a doctor, get a throat culture. This will certainly tell you your stressin out, or strep, or herpies, or cancer, or......

what i did because my doctor kept refusing to take them out is whent to a specialist to get them removed its the best thing because most doctors dont want to remove them but if you go to a specialist in ears, nose, and throat they will probably send you in for surgerie very soon.best of luck
