okay so Il like this guy at school but he is one of the quiet type of guys, I don't really know how to approach him, any suggestions?

Try to sit next to him and say hi. Engage him in polite conversation about class or something you see him reading which is usually a great starter. After doing this for about two classes, you will know whether you like him and he likes you (by responding to you every time). Then help him make the move by suggesting things or you can make the move.

Well for starters, you are going to have to initiate any conversation with him as you say he is the quiet type. Begin by asking questions that require more than a single word answer. For example, rather than ask, "Do you like school?" Ask, "What do you like about this school?" Questions like these will show you whether he has an interest in conversing with you or not. The more you speak with him, the more you will find out what type of person he is, and whether or not you care to pursue this relationship. It could very well be he's timid, or not the type to strike up a conversation. But once you get him talking, things should change.

just say hi or hey how u doin and then maybe after he'll start talkin to u cause that's what i did i just said hey and me and him just started a conversation the next day remember it all starts with hey how are doin today. If that does not work try the direct approach

you see its hard for me to approach the loud types...
but, just remember..the longer you wait, the more awkward it becomes when you finally do approach him. so why not tomorow? thats what i told myself yesterday and i pulled through! it was a great little chat...
if you have any classes together..you could ask him something about it i suppose, or is he on a team? ask him when his next game is because you want to come.

just be straight up and tell him, but try to get him alone or with as few people around as possible to avoid possible humiliation. you never want to put anyone on the spot. it's always better to find out than make yourself nuts wondering. peace!
