I would like to take a time lapse picture for a day. So an entire day would be blurred into one picture. Is that possible. In this digital age does that technology exist?

It depends on the type of camera that u use. Usually, 30 seconds is long enough. However, if u want 24 hours exposure, there is only one camera that can do that.. yes, the technology exists...it is the camera on board the Hubble Space Telescope. It uses special imaging sensor device and superior lens, and it can take picture for like days.. many many days.. why so long? because the Hubble Telescope needs a great amount of light to pass to its sensor for it to be able to photograph galaxies millions of light years away..

No that I am aware of, the major problem being that it would be very difficult to restrict the amount of light down enough to prevent massive over exposure. There are also problems with digital sensors and noise etc. My Nikon DSLRs both allow me up to 30 minutes exposure. Even then at F32 about the only thing I could photograph would be stars on a very black night, anything else would be over exposed.

leaving your camera exposed for the day woudl probaly result in a almost blank or whit epci as the pixels woudl become saturated beyond viewing.
not possible

what you can do is get time lapse photo progrma (Canaon has this) it will take pics all day for you every few seconds.
you then take those and create a movie with all thsoe pics with very quick time between frames
