Well, you can't tell me you didn't expect this day to happen = please...

You have to keep them separated or crated so they can't kill each other

Stop giving treats in the kitchen..

*if* they are out together then there should be NO toys out.. remove the things that could cause a fight.

If you keep these two out together then you will have to observe and see who the alpha is.. and then always give food or time outside in this order..

If you mix it up then YOU will confuse them and they may have to fight to see who is top dog again (in their world-not yours).

YOU need to step into alpha position with these dogs... Treat them as dogs and not kids.. and they will respect you and your wishes.

If not then they will place you in what ever order of the pack they feel you should be in..

don't wanna be the *play* dog do ya????
Hate to be so direct but in your situation... this can NOT continue.

GOOD LUCK

My parent's dog would fight to the death if we let her anywhere near her sister (my sister owns the sister dog), and they're both fixed. Their fighting has even drawn my husband's blood when he tried to separate them.
They are both very territorial and dominant, they are like this with any large dog who gets their owners attention. This started when they were about 2 or 3 years. The problem has not gotten any better now that they're 9.
Since you have both dogs in your house I would say you might have a problem...
Fixing them won't change their behavior at this point. You may have to look at finding one of them a new home, or make sure that they stay separated whenever you're present.

OK. What kind of dog are they? Try separating both of them. Give the aggressing dog a good beaten. In fact give them both beaten. Sounds like they need it. What were they fighting over?

You know what get a bamboo stick. Let them outside when they start fighting. Beat them. Trust me the bamboo stick will get there attention. I use it when I have dog that wants to attack me when I am running. It hurts like hell, but does not do any real damage.

They are probably jealous of each other so it is important that you don't look to one of them as though you are showing favoritism to the other. Spaying them will NOT necessarily change their behavior at all.
If you think changing their estrogen levels will make them less aggressive you are wrong. Spaying will increase the progesterone side of the balance and if anything have the opposite effect.

Keep them separate or get one of them fixed. I have two males dogs one is four and the other one 16 months old and they did that crap, so I had the big one fixed so he wouldn't hurt the little one, and it worked. They are boxer/pit mix and a mini pom.

Although spaying should help, if they are both "true" alpha females they WILL fight until the death of one...

Females going into heat often get a bad case of PMS. They become very territorial. Either get them spayed, or separate them. It is sad to think that one will be banished, so please get them spayed!
