... a man who has been ruthlessly killing off other true believers comes to you to make peace saying that he has seen Jesus(p) in a 'vision' and in that 'vision' Jesus commanded him to systematically disobey everything that Jesus did when he was alive?

What would you do if this man told you that Jesus gave him the right to preach and command in his good name and then commanded you to be like the pagans, to adopt their holidays to change your Sabbath, etc. just so the religion would be 'easier' and 'more appealing'?

What if this man said that good deeds, moral standing, etc. don't matter anymore? That just simply 'believing' is good enough in this life?

Would you follow that man?

What makes you anti-intellectuals think I was talking about Paul?

And no... I wasn't talking about Paul.

I was talking about Saul of Tarsus. For all of you ignorant people, yes, it's the same person, but I refuse to recognize that murderer as a 'Saint'

Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount(Matthew 5:17) 'Think not that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil'

Which means that in no way was he teaching anything NEW, UNLIKE Saul of Tarsus who said you can eat anything you like, even pork(Jesus was a Jew and he NEVER ate pork. As a matter of fact, the only thing he ever did with swine was cast demons into them).

And nice going with the pagan practice of the Christmas tree(reference Jeremiah 10:1-5).

And the pagan 'birthday' practice(the only days of birth ever practiced in the times of old were by pharaohs and emperors).

Don't assume you're right, you'll only make an '***' out of 'u' and 'me'.

You gotta know where your beliefs are from before you know where they're going.

Don't think that my aim is to disrespect any of you or make you feel stupid. Only you can do that...

'brother'michael. You state that Jesus himself chose Saul, eh? In a vision... because Jesus(p) passed away long before Saul came into the picture...

How very gullible of you to believe someone who has never even met the person he's speaking for...

Brilliant writer, yes, along with being a spouter of lies. Read the Qumran Papyri(Dead Sea Scrolls) sometime if you're so devout.

Romans 3:28 'Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith WITHOUT the deeds of the law'.

So why would God give Mose(p) the Ten Commandments, then? Why send Jesus there to 'fulfil' it?

Do NOT Let Anyone Or Anything Stop Your Faith And Your Beliefs With The Lord...

What Do U Know?
Maybe It's Satan That He Saw In His Vision & His Using Him As An Instument To Make The Believer An Unbeliever...

The Best Thing To Give You A Peace Of Mind In Any Given Situation Is The Bible...All The Way!

What Bible are YOU reading? That is not anything like Jesus or Paul. No one ever said to adopt pagan holidays or change the sabbath. And contrary to your knowledge, our lifestyle DOES matter. Or have you never actually read the book of James? You have no right to say you know what you are talking about. Religion is not " more appealing"{ For staters, James chapter v2 is clear that faith without works is dead
So, thte answer to your question is- NO!

"Jesus commanded him to systematically disobey everything that Jesus did when he was alive?"

Could you give chapter and verse where this is stated?

"Jesus gave him the right to preach"

No where did Jesus give him the "right" to preach,
Act 9:15 And the Lord said to him, Go, for this one is a chosen vessel to Me, to bear My name before nations and kings and the sons of Israel.
This was not spoken to Paul, but Ananias.

"commanded you to be like the pagans, to adopt their holidays to change your Sabbath, etc. just so the religion would be 'easier' and 'more appealing'?"
Again, chapter and verse please.

"What if this man said that good deeds, moral standing, etc. don't matter anymore? That just simply 'believing' is good enough in this life?"

The Bible never says that good works, moral standing, etc. brings about salvation. No New Testament writer ever says this.

I follow Christ and the words of Scripture. Paul was the most brilliant writer of the New Testament, and suffered greatly for it. He was a chosen vessel of God and was taught by Christ Himself.
Gal 1:15 But when God was pleased, He having separated me from my mother's belly, and having called me through His grace, Isa. 49:1
Gal 1:16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the nations, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,
Gal 1:17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia and returned again to Damascus.
Gal 1:18 Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to learn from Peter and remained with him fifteen days.

He was accepted by the apostles who knew the Lord, personally, who are you to question his credentials?

Cross swords with Paul and you will get cut, badly.

No way. The words of Jesus will never pass away, so anyone preaching a 'different gospel' is lying.

It sounds like you're trying to apply this thinking to Paul, but you'd be incorrect.

It was Peter, not Paul, who was commanded by Jesus and the Holy Spirit to preach to the Gentiles first. He did what was considered forbidden, by entering a Gentile home, and also ate with them. (Acts 10-11)

Paul continued in this vein, and even met with Peter and James, telling them the Gospel he preached, which they agreed with. (Galatians 2)

Paul even confronted Peter about his hypocrisy, when he associated only with visiting Jews, to the exclusion of the Gentiles. (Galatians 2:13ff)

Peter later tells us that Paul's writings are Scripture. "Think of our Lord's patience as salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him. He speaks about this subject in all his letters. Some things in them are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort to their own destruction, as they do the rest of the Scriptures." (II Peter 3:15-16)

So, be careful. Your implication that Paul changed what Jesus taught is on shaky ground.

RESPONSE TO YOUR DIG: Anti-intellectual? You don't even know me!
