Using my dad's credit card number I purchased something online for $1500 and my parents will kill me if they find out. I am sixteen by the way. How do I cover my tracks so that they either don't know that $1500 is missing or where it went to?

You may as well confess now. As soon as the bill arrives, your parents are going to know. There is no way to "cover your tracks". Even if you cancel the order of what you bought, there is still going to be a debit and then a credit on their bill. You're parents are going to see that.

Don't listen to the person that told you to hide the bills and late notices. If you do that, you are going to destroy your parents credit rating. If you think you're in trouble now, just wait and see what kind of trouble you'll be in when your parents credit rating drops 100 points because you've been hiding the bills. That was the dumbest idea anyone gave you.

I hope you have $1500 in your savings account to pay for whatever you bought because you are going to be stuck paying for it.

There is a possibility that your father could call whoever you bought the item from and return it because you stole his credit card and are a minor. They may take the item back.

What you did was really stupid. I hope that you never try something like that again. You could really get your parents messed up with their credit rating.

Pay the bill off right away. There is no way to make it go away - it will be on their next statement.

This is one of those "rite of passage" moments where you either stop being a child and start being an adult, or you don't. I strongly ecourage you to go the route of admitting an error and doing all you can to fix it instead of just trying to do damage control.

Your Dad should kill you! You didn't have any business doing that! STEALING IS STEALING EVEN IF IT'S FROM YOUR PARENTS! Your purchase is going to show up on his bill, so how do you figure he won't know? You want to be an adult, yet act as a child!

Whoa!! I would get behind the "woodshed" and expect the worse if I were you. There is no way that you can cover your tracks unless you paid the $1500.00 back.

Fess up, it is better to be truthful then to be caught. Oh yeah, I had a job when I was 16 so you can too to pay it back.

Good luck with that. Unless they just pay their bill without looking at the statement...your pretty well toast.

Take and hide the bill until you pay for it. You have to take all the late notices and stuff too. But if they do find it you can get in a lot more trouble for lying so it would be better to tell the TRUTH about it. I got grounded for two weeks for lying to my mother about something that my friends did.
