Men always complain that we woman show no appreciation to what you do for us. I was with this guy for 5 years and I thought I show him every day how much I appreciated him. I didn’t care if he had a good car or if he had money. I would pay for a lot of things No I was not trying to buy his love. He always told me that he wanted the best or me in my eyes he was the best. I never asked him for more than he could afford. What he gave me was more than enough. I would leave him songs on his voice mail. I would tex him I love u or thank you. It never felt like I was doing enough. He still cheated on me. My question is what should I have done different?????

It is hard for us to hold love back, but sometimes we have to. Else you will be easily taken for granted. Easier said than done ofcourse esp. when you love someone to death. No, you did a lot for him. How much more did you want to do? You made yourself too available and agreeable to him. I can see all that because I can see myself in you. You appreciated him enough. He should have stepped up and he didn't. He didn't deserve your love. I don't know if you both are still together or not, but it doesn't seem like he is on the same page as you? Sometimes, we make really wrong choices and love people who are simply not meant to be the right ones for us. The right relationship has balance, and gives a feeling of fulfillment, not grief and anger and tension and sadness. Please learn to be tougher, and have high standards. And you dont hv to lay yourself for your guy to do whatever he wants to do. Have your own strong opnions, and ideas, and interests and a life going on outside of him. Be loving, but don't always be the one going to him, asking for love, or initiating things. Let him come to you too. Let him also have a chance to miss you, give him a chance to wonder and think about you. Be there for him & stay loving, but don't always be available waiting for him. Strike a healthy balance. Make some small changes and you'll see a difference...
