We are planning on getting married at the beach just the two of us ( second marriage for both), but, we would like to have a nice reception the following weekend to include our family and friends. Everywhere I look has the reception cards reading "following the ceremony". Any ideas where to look?

There are more suggestions at http://www.verseit.com and you can also find suggestions from any invitation company. You might also visit http://www.wedding.orders.com if you are still looking for invitation companies. They have several to choose from where you can order a free mail catalog or order online. Most of them also will send you up to 3 samples of actual invitations you are considering so you can see what they look like before you buy them.

You have two options that I can think of. First, if you dont mind spending a few bucks on wedding magazines there are a whole bunch of places that do these cards so look in the mags and find the one that has the most card printers in it (alot of mags. have the same companies listed as the other mags. so I would say only buy one or two mags.). You contact them and they will send you free samples and they will have them say anything that you could possibly want. If you have a great printer, then go to Staples and look at their invitation section. They have everything from simple to elaborate and they are blank so you can print them from your home printer. Most of them come with a template and all the envelopes you can use too. Mine cost me about $25.00 and two hours of work. They came out gorgeous and no one knew that I did not have the pros. do it. Good luck, and congtats on your new marriage.

Look on line for wedding invitations. Then you can write the wording of your own invitation.,

With joy in our hearts, Maryann Smith, and John Jones will be married in a private ceremony, but to celebrate this joyous event, please join us at a wedding reception to be held on Sept. 12, 2007 at 3:30 PM in the afternoon at La Spaga Restaurant, 20765 Rodeo Drive, Hollywood, California.

RSVP
before Sept. 1, 2007

On line they have wonderful sites for invitations for weddings. Check it out and their prices are great. Otherwise go into a Party Paper place and they have tons of books for your to look at...The wording is up to you when you custom order. Your minimum order would be about 25 invitations.

Just about any print shop service worth their salt can print anything you want on your invitations. They can even get the date and location right.

A word of warning: check around! Prices can be vastly different.
Some print house will send the work out to someone else to do instead of doing it in-house, which may run the cost up.

Even office supply stores can do invitations.

I would make my own if I were you. You can go to Hobby Lobby and pick up some nice paper, pick one that fits your theme if you have one or one that has a beach background. Then you can print them up on your computer using the wording that you want. It will also save a lot of money!!! Good luck!

Have you looked on theknot.com? They have millions of resources. And often, you can get them to change the message so it doesn't say "following the ceremony".

Are you eloping and then throwing a reception so you can get presents? If so, kudos. That's the way to go. ;)

You can design your own using stationery and software at Staples or a similar office supply store. You can also order them from certain locally owned Hallmark stores and choose your own wording. Check with local print shops also. There are even places online.

Vista Print. Go to vistaprint.com. I got our engagement announcements there. I loved it. They have a great variety and very, very reasonable pricing.
