Who is a cop, is going out with me. He told me he is divorced with a 2 year old daughter (which I don't mind) and was accused of domestic violence but won the case. On his days off he's never with me, he goes out of town to see his "mom, sister and fam". Not only that but we've been going out for 4 months and he says he really sees us getting married and is falling for me. I just don't believe for some reason because he said that just like I said that I wanted to wait to have sex 'til I got married he said his wife said the same. What do you think?

Honestly, he sounds like a joke. Every time he is off, he goes to see his mom and sister. If he is so in love with you, why doesn't he take you with him? I'm confused. Sounds to me that he is playin with you mind. Honey, don't waste your time there b/c something just isn't right in that milk. (If you get my drift.) If you want to give him another chance, I say to be very cautious. Oh, it doesn't shock me that he was charged with domestic violence and won the case. Do you really think the court is going to convict a cop for domestic violence? Think about it? A cop is considered one of them and they are not about to punish a cop. Nine times out of ten, a cop will win b/f the victim will. Be careful with that guy b/c he sounds like trouble to me.

First question, are you sure he won his case, from what he said about you saying the same as his ex wife, be careful. And strange on his days off he doesn't take you with him, you sure of the divorce ?

The domestic violence is clue enough to watch with a keen eye. Even though he won the case, it was still bad enough to be brought to court.

Wow, I dated a cop once and pretty much got the same story! I felt the same way. Turned out what I felt was right. Never doubt your intuition. It's real, we have it for a reason.

Oh, by the way, run while you can! But run peacefully and nicely, he can cause a lot of trouble for you.

A red flag went up when you said that he said he "won the case". Did he ever abuse her? It's quite possible he did abuse her but still won the case. Ask him if he ever hit his ex-wife. Don't ask him if/how he won the case. Did he hit his wife. If he did, run.

Though it is an awkward situation, I have found from my past experience. That I wish I had talked to my ex-husbands wives before we married. I believe she wouldn't lie to you and may save you from what she has been through. If you don't talk to her, I would really give this some serious thought before you marry him.
