I have a polaroid 1773 (it is pink) anyways I turn it on, and it shows that it is on but the screen is black..Every now and then when I turn it on the screen will come up but then it goes away! Anyone have any hope! i can't get it fixed because I have lost the receipt! Please Help Me! My Camera Is Seriously My Life...Oh I plug it into the computer and the pictures show u, so te problem must be fixable!!!!

There should be a "Display" button on your camera some where. It should either say Disp, or have a picture of a Square. Something on the lines of that... .Try hitting that, and it should pop up w/ the LCD screen for you.
It is usually used to switch between the Viewfinder and the LCD Screen.

It's gotta be the bad software on the camera. I have a friend with the same case, her camera screen would turn off immediately after powering on the camera, but the camrera itself is not damaged. It is due to the fact that the software cannot recognize the LCD Screen, so it goes black.
To solve the problem, there are two options.
1. Try to remove the memory card from the camera and press and hold "reset" button for approximately 15 seconds.
If that doesn't work, then
2. You have to contact the manufacturer of the camera to get a software update, you don't need a receipt, just bring the camera and usually they repair it for free if u have it for less than one year.

Sounds like a bad CCD, get it checked. Don't get it fixed if it's the CCD. You can buy a new camera for the price of getting the CCD replaced.

I don't know the ans, but when you say My camera is seriously my life......Why did you ever buy a Poloroid? If you followed this Website at all you'd know the brands to buy.

When mine goes off when i turn it on , i change the batteries and it fixes the problem..
