They're treating people as individuals on not fixating on the fact that some are male and some are female.

I suppose standing by and not fighting patriarchy would be a way that women empower men. Doing anything that promotes patriarchy or lets it continue would be empowerment to men. From calling the mailwoman a "mailman" to not fighting for a wage equal to our male co-workers, it's all supporting patriarchy.

I wish more women were feminists *sigh*

I think it's more important to find out what men are doing in communities to empower some women. Doesn't seem to be too much going on there where it's needed.

I try to help my younger bro when he's worried and wants to talk. Since my parents divorced and my dad's out of the picture, he seems to have lost a lot of self-confidence. When he has guy questions, though, I ask my uncle to talk to him, because I'm not very good at giving advice about guy stuff! I think sons who grow up without dads are really at a disadvantage, and that's so common. I never noticed until my parents split up. I think we should all pitch in and help guys like that. Not just women though, because, like I said, there's some stuff a teenage guy just needs an adult guy to talk to about! (I mean, how am I supposed to help my brother know how to feel more macho in his dating relationships?)

Perhaps you haven't been paying attention as to the last thirty years or so of American movements. Please let me clarify this for you. Since the N.O.W.(National Organization for Women) group started up in the mid-sixties, There have been NO groups other than the military, to fight or even support equal rights for men for things such as equal employment opportunity, family leave, sexual/physical assault help and/or protection, parental rights, even housing and medical treatment rights for men just to name a few. It has been my personal observation(in my own home city and state mind you) that NO woman, excluding a guys' mother, would willingly help a guy out unless she is that guy's attorney!

Maintaining citizenship in this male-centric society. Is male-centric a word? I think I made that up.
