My relitives are having a relative reunion. i call It relitive Because that is what it will be. There is no one left that has the name that they will be useing for this so called reunion. And in order to call it a family Reunion ,you have to be a family. None of us are close. (And before anyone says thats why i should go) Not! They really don't have a clue what family is about. There is no love at all. And that is the most important thing. My relatives only look out for theirselves and see how much they can get from you. I don't think I shoud go, Do you?

Perhaps the person who is organizing this event is trying to rectify the situation with your relatives..... trying to bring everyone closer. If that could be the case, maybe you could go in support of that effort. You always have the option of leaving.

Maybe you should go and start showing your family some love.No matter what their names are now they are still family.People marry and change their names.It happens everyday but they are still family.
If you went you could start to make a difference.Show people you care and they may do the same.You may be surprized at the result.
I would give it a try but don't go with a bad attitude.Nothing in life is more important than family no matter what.Friends come and go but family will always be there.

Your statements are pretty strong and I'm not sure why you asked the question. Are you trying to justify your decision of not going so you can feel good about that decision? If so, you don't need anyone's blessing to make this decision. If your family is dysfunctional and you only feel pain around them, then keep your distance.
Kinda sad, isn't it? Your situation is not unique in our society. Families are no longer automatically close and loving. And you can't make them be that way.

If tommorow we're not there could u live with this decision? I believe they put u here so the least u could do is go to ur family even though u don't feel that way. Make a change for 07' and bring every1 closer. GOOD LUCK.
