my hair is like that too. i hear that if you wash your hair every other day, then it helps with the natural oils produced by your head to help keep the curls. but if you can't stand it like me and must wash it daily, then i recommend that you put mousse in your hair right after you come out of the shower, dry it with a blow dryer, then style with curling iron. during and after you style with a curling iron, also spritz a little hair on it too.
