As everyone else has answered, it depends on where you live and how long you are going to be gone. It also depends on what kind of environment you want for your dog. A dog sitter is going to be more expensive than a kennel. Dog sitters will take your dog into their home and generally treat your dog as part of their family. This is a great option for dogs that get stressed out at kennels. At kennels the dogs are usually in runs and might be let out to play once in awhile, sometimes not. Some dogs do great in kennels some don't.

Good luck!

The dog kennel I work at is $20 per day. If you pick up before 1pm, you aren't charged for the day. It costs 50 cents each time medication is needed. You can also purchase playtime's for $3.50 a session (either with other dogs or with a kennel staff) and cookies & cream which is where your dog can get "frosty paws" a dog ice cream, and some cookies. Cats are $13 a day to board. These prices and different options are pretty regular for the majority of kennels. You can also keep them at certain vet offices . :)

It all depends on the area you live in. I would call around (check the yellow pages) to different kennels in your area. My kennel is 14/day (pretty reasonable). I would also ask family and friends that have pets to recommend places - you want to make sure your dog is going to be well taken care of. Good luck!

make sure your dog is up to date on shots first-kennel cough esp-they will want proof-it really depends on the weight, facility, and location-my 180 lb great dane went to a "suite" with a tv, ceiling fan, bed, and barn door so he could visit others for $13 a day in Dallas TX, but now I live near Savannah GA, and a reg boarding in a 5 x8 is $16 a day-call around..if you live in a big city you will have no issues with a good price

It depends on the place. Some are as low as $15 per night. Some are $100 per night. Just call around a few of the places in your area. Make sure to ask what is included-how many potty breaks, how much playtime, food, balnkets, etc... Also, you will likely need to make sure your dog is current on vax-DHLP, Bordatella, Rabies.

Different places vary upon their rates. Your best bet would be to call around and get rates from local kennels.

Call some places and find out. Some places are under $20 a day and others are $30+ dollars a day and up.
