Yes, though they erase all the formulas on the chalkboard and just write in big letters "God's Plan" because math makes their heads hurt.

Furthermore, every new revelation and formula goes through a 300 year waiting period where it is labelled as "black evil devil magic" before being recognized as part of God's Plan.

All pioneering mathematicians during this period are hunted down and set on fire... because that's what they do best.

The Christians that I know (including myself) believe in physics, if you can "believe in" a science anyway. I'm not sure how you think physics discredits God, since he designed the world & the laws of physics.

With regard to it "discrediting the Bible", I don't follow this logic. Speaking specifically to the 4 things that you mentioned:
a) resurrection - This is a miracle which by defination defies natural laws. A miracle is an occurrence at once above nature and above man. It shows the intervention of a power that is not limited by the laws either of matter or of mind, a power interrupting the fixed laws which govern their movements, a supernatural power.
"The suspension or violation of the laws of nature involved in miracles is nothing more than is constantly taking place around us. One force counteracts another: vital force keeps the chemical laws of matter in abeyance; and muscular force can control the action of physical force. When a man raises a weight from the ground, the law of gravity is neither suspended nor violated, but counteracted by a stronger force. The same is true as to the walking of Christ on the water and the swimming of iron at the command of the prophet. The simple and grand truth that the universe is not under the exclusive control of physical forces, but that everywhere and always there is above, separate from and superior to all else, an infinite personal will, not superseding, but directing and controlling all physical causes, acting with or without them."

b)God - see opening paragraph
c)how anyone can live 150 years or more - how does this apply to physics?
d)The idea that man has any idea about God - how does this apply to physics?

Yes indeed Physics is very christian because God decreed the laws of physics. If u've heard the word SUPERNATURAL you'll understand that God operates beyond nature. He authored the laws of physics but is not bound by them.
This should explain these issues u claim disproves the
bible.
Indeed close study of physics will reveal some aspects of God to you. U know Albert Einstein observing the amazing order in nature commented that 'God does not play dice with the world' when he observed randomness which appeared to defy this order. If u believe all this order fell into place by chance u may well believe that by tossing bricks randomly u may come up with the TAJ MAHAL or the EMPIRE STATE BUILDING. and remember even your eye is far more complex than any building ever constructed.
I invite you to start the journey to knowing God. And u re right no man can know God that is until God reveals himself and he has done so.

Some seem to negate their importance. There's a movement among evangelical groups in Missouri, for instance, to cut science funding for the public universities out of fear that the money COULD be used for stem cell research.

That's all science, by the way, not just genetics or what have you.

You'll see profound support for scientific research among most Reform and all Orthodox churches (Galileo notwithstanding, but that was 500 years ago), based on the belief that God is Creator and so science and faith cannot conflict. When they do, eventually the science will be corrected by further research and stand in agreement with faith again.

There's a BIG difference between physics and evolution, if that's where you're going. Physics is a provable field of science whose precepts can be empirically tested. Evolution cannot, and therefore is not part of science, but is a secular religion.
If you don't believe me, try this experiment:

Using the Scientific Method ONLY, demonstrate in the lab how a dog can either produce or come from a non-dog ("dog" here being defined as any member of the "canis" family). Your results must be repeatable and falsifiable.

Can't do it? Then IT'S NOT SCIENCE.

I believe in God the Creator. I have learned much in my studies of Chemistry and Physics. None of it contradicts my believe in Creation, actually it is quite the opposite. The more I learn, the more I see the Creator. Currently, I'm in awe of the amazing design of the human body while studying Human Anatomy .

Most Christians accept the majority of scientific discoveries, it's far more difficult to function in the world if you don't.

Evolution is really just an outlet for all the fundamentalists.

However, Christian Scientists (a sect of Christianity) are notorious for rejecting most scientific discoveries and eschewing healthcare.

Of course, all though most of us do believe that the 2nd law of thermodynamics can be overcome by God stepping in and reorganizing things

...but that's not too hard to consider, I mean, I overcome entropy every Saturday when I clean my house, and every morning when I brush my hair.

I asked a similar question, but it was posed to "intelligent design" proponents and it juxtaposed that with molecules. I know of no ID proponent who has seen a molecule. The ID proponents who answered believed in molecules. They also denied evolution, although there is blatantly visible evidence.

It is irrational, but religion has nothing to do with rational thought.

YHWH created or always knew physics, a combination of math and science,...so Christians believe in science and the laws of it.

Many are getting it confused with divination, which is a sin.
