As a professional, career Army Recruiter, I am ashamed of their conduct. I personally know that this could not have been any of the professionals I have trained or work(ed) for me. Every service has its good and bad points, but the decision is yours and it needs to be equally based on your needs, needs of the respective service and guarantees that will be available at time of enlistment. More people choose the Army over other services merely because of the guarantees. However, if all you want is to be a Submariner, or just a Marine (job has no relevance) or if you desire to work at a hotel front desk, the Army can not help you and a professional Army Recruiter would escort you to the best person of the service that can help you the most. I wish you luck and feel free to ask me any questions you may have on any service and on anything you have been told that you question.

First off, no recruiter should Degrade another branch, We are all one team in one fight. All branches have the benefits and their flaws. Army recruiters tend to be more enthusiastic about their branch. The Army has the largest enlistment bonuses, The Army will GUARANTEE the job that YOU pick and qualify for. Not a career field, or set you up for a job that has a 90% fail rate. The Army has the fastest promoting system of any service. The Army's quality of Life is as good or better then the other 2 services you mentioned. One thing I tell people that are considering joining a service, do some research, check their websites. Good luck with your decision.

Don't let your experience dim your veiw of the Army recruiters. Every recruiter I have encountered has the utmost respect for the other branches. Every recruiter thinks that their branch is the best but they never degrade the other branches of the military. Recriters are sales-people, in a manner of speaking. They will tell you the benefits of their branch of the military. But you need to make an informed decision. Talk to some people who are currently serving our country in all branches. Get an idea of how the military really is, drawbacks and benefits. Good luck! I hope everything works out.

If they tell you what you want to hear make them write a contract with the promises on it. There are some good jobs in the Army, but don't settle for less than what you want.
The Air Force isn't giving away much these days unless you sign for security forces, if you do that you might as well sign for Army.

Thats what they do... they're there to make a quota and get as many people in as they can. Last thing the Army wants is to lose people to the Air Force!! My Army recruiter hated that! Haha.
Don't let them rush you, this is a big decision.

Well for one thing all the branches have to either meet or exceed recruiting goals. That how ever does not give them the right to pressure you. A well disciplined NCO will let you go your own way but if they need numbers they will do some shady stuff to get it.

Quit crying, as an army personel myself. You wouldn't make it. They have a job to do and a quota to fulfill. We all do appreciate the other branches, but we have this pride that the Army is the best, so do the other branches. So quit crying, b/c if you don't you are going to have a long career.
