what about a cheap frame that you put a great candid shot of the 2 of you together with a small note on the back. you could do this for both your sister and friend for cheap. i put care packages together for m best friends when i moved to another province i went to the dollar store and got them silly notebooks that i wrote something on every 5th page, i decorated picture frames with fuzzy feathers and gave them all some candles and other little things i think it costed me a whole 40 bucks at the dollar store to make 6 baskets.

Have someone take a picture of the 2 of you on her graduation day & give it to her framed. If you aren't going to see her in her cap & gown, you can still give her a picture of the 2 of you. You can get some really nice frames for well under $20. It would be a more memorable gift for the occasion than just a gift certificate. This would work well for both your friend and your sister.

When you graduate, you are starting a new phase of life, so I think a diary or a daytimer would be good. you can some that really pretty and not all official looking. Also, if they like to read, a book is a wonderful gift.

Go to a Dollar Store like Family Dollar or Dollar General. Get a basket and fill it with Bath stuff like bubble bath, shower gel, lotion, you can even get some nailpolish things like that! I hope this helps! If you look around you may be able to get 2 baskets full for the $20!!!!!! :) Have fun!

If she really is a good friend, she won't care what you get her/how much you spend..maybe get her some flowers for her graduation or go in on a bigger gift with some other mutual friends...its the thought that counts! :)

Anything that says CLASS of 2007. Like a teddy bear with a grad hat on it. Or a frame that has her graduating year on it so she can frame her graduation picture. A bouquet of flowers is nice too.

One year, a friend of mine took some pictures she had of us through the years, and put them on the edges of a piece of paper...and in the middle he wrote how much she valued our friendship and knew that it would blossom in the coming years, and thanked me for being such a dear friend. Then she framed it. I can honestly say...that as many gifts that I have received, that one is the nearest and dearest to me. She gave it to me in high school...and 8 years later, it is STILL one of my most valued possessions!

there is a good sale on doritos this week at the super market. Toliet paper is pretty cheap too. I think its more important to be practical than flashy.
