Schatzie (pronounced shot-see)
Schatzie is German for "Sweatheart" or "Little Dear One." I think it's the cutest name for a German dog!

In our family we always use part of the wife's name, part of each of the parent's name, then a nickname. We had Kimmie's Foolish Annie Girl. My name is Kim, Foolish came from teh father's lineage, Annie was her nickname, and Girl was from her mother's name.
Please do not call him Buddy!! I volunteer with a recue organization and there are an abundance of those...
Good Luck!
