Of course you can Girl! I just asked your question about Cupcakes. Anything that is Consider Baking, Pies, Cakes, Cookie Mix, Brownie Mix, Puddings. All that you can mix without using an Electric Mixer.

for cakes and cupcakes, yeah, all you need is confectioner's sugar and milk and a spoon (i think wooden works best), and you just stir until it becomes a paste. but for whip cream and lighter frosting, you need the mixer because it can whip air into the ingredients faster so you get the light and frothy texture that you want.

Yes of course you can. Using a wooden spoon is the best way.That's how they did it way back when as you need something sturdy for stirring.
