Not sure what the next step is. I agree, ask him to marry you if that is what you want. How old are the two of you? Since he hasn't asked you to marry him don't be suprised if his answer to your question is No. Talk to your guy and see whats up. If indeed you two are close should be able to discuss all.

YOU don't need to tell him anything. Actions are stronger then words. So show him that "you are ready" by making the move. You don't always need to use words to justify your love, or your commitment for somebody. Show some body language.
