USA Depends on the state. In some counties in the south the age is quite low, especially if it's your sister.

After you're married is how it should be but if you decide not to wait until you're married you need to make sure you have a good understanding what it is and all the emotional and physical responsibilites and possible consequences that may come as a result of having sex.

Whenever you feel mature enough, although I would say the minimum age should be 15 or 16.
The problem is too many 15 or 16 years old who do have sex aren't mature or smart enough and that's why they get STDs or end up having kids, so in their case, they shouldn't have been having sex.
And I don't really believe in the concept of marriage, I think it's old-fashioned, so that doesn't even play into the issue of when to have sex to me.

it's a personal choice but I think before you decide to go through with the deed you need to really take into consideration the things you will need to be prepared, birth control, condoms, etc.
not only that but you should recognize that it's not just an act but it has some emotional weights to it too.
There should be some love between the two people too! Not just puppy love though.
I think if the person is aware of the responsibilities that comes with it and they've been taught the right precautions...well, let's just keep to what I said before - it's a personal choice.

legally the age of consent is 16
however if u think logically for one minute then when ever u are ready emotionally is more than likely the rite answer
sex in a secure realtionship is better
and u will find that u will be more relaxed when u are with a person u love espcially if u aren't that experienced

I agree. I think 20 is an excellent age. I am tired of seeing all these pregnant teenagers who have bebies but not even their high school diploma yet!
Its just a drain on our economy/

NO ids say mid teens ie late 15-17 is best
WHISLT STILL AT HOME with parental support and when friends are all going though the growing up, discovering stuff, first dates, first kisses, first 3rd base stuff.
it takes times and you get hurt a lot and need somewhere safe like mum and dads for support and stop things going out of control.
When older it will be horrible starting late as no support from anyone and things like gettign saced for dating at work or betting messed around by allas clueless or having no chance to compete with those with 5 years expereince so no chance of getting married.
teenage is about going from kid to adult and first sexual experiences as part of growing up
Plus you miss out on all the spin the bottle, making out at parties and in the cinema stuff

most definately after u r 20. do not rush into anything.if it seem's right then think about? my wee girl is only 6 and if i thought anybody was looking at her i'd kill them.u have the rest of u r life to live? patients

I don't think anyone should have sex till they're 20 also...but sometimes you fall in love before that and stuff happens unexpectedly.
