It could just be breastfeeding. It can make women not have a period the whole time they are breastfeeding. If you are on the pill, that could throw it off too. Don't worry too much about it. If you have taken a test, and it's negative, it's probably just the breastfeeding. You are lucky!!! I have my period about 7-8 weeks after I have a baby, no matter if I'm breastfeeding or not.

Oh don't listen to the person who said it's dangerous to take the pill while breastfeeding. They don't know what they are talking about!! The low dose pill if FOR breastfeeding women!!!

Completely normal! During breastfeeding, it's very common to not have a period at all or have them sporatically. A combination of breastfeeding and the pill will lower the chances even greater of getting menses. Don't worry hun, it's normal! But there is still a cahnce of pregnancy so if you want to avoid that, definitely use condoms or another alternative method. Congrats on breastfeeding as well, I love to hear when other mothers believe in such a healthy start to life!!

First of all, I'd like to know you certain basics about human physiology. After child birth, every lady goes into lactational amenorrhoea(i.e. loss of menstruation) varying from approx 4 months to upto one year or may be more. This is nature's natural birth control measure. Breastfeeding in itself further helps in birth control.
Now, regarding taking birth control pills is an absolutely wrong choice at this period, because it can decrease your milk yield. Also certain hormones in the pills may pass on to your baby through milk & may have certain bad effects. It seems your taking of pills is without the advise from any doctor. Self medication in any form could be disastrous & one should not attempt it without full knowledge.

ok you are able to take delivery administration pills jointly as you breastfeed. that is called the mini-pill and it works inclusive of your physique jointly as breastfeeding to stay away from pregnancies, yet you may take it on the appropriate time on a daily basis otherwise it won't artwork. in case you want extra education on delivery administration procedures post-partum, then having a communication inclusive of your OB may be very helpful. You do bleed heavily after giving delivery whether that is not a era, that is afterbirth bleeding that would final various weeks reckoning on how your physique heals. maximum breastfeeding women persons don't get their classes for months after the preliminary post-partum bleeding. I breastfed the two my babies and that i did no longer get my era till they have been 5 months previous (and that i grew to become into nevertheless nursing them). Now, in basic terms considering the fact which you're breastfeeding and you don't get your era, does not advise which you would be unable to get pregnant the two. do no longer use breastfeeding as your sole reason for delivery administration. you'll be able to desire to have backup like the mini pill or condoms in case you do no longer decide to get pregnant genuine away. wish that records enables! and prefer I reported, in case you like extra records, in basic terms call your OB! :) sturdy success!!

When you breast feed this usually prevents you from getting your monthly cycle. I breast feed for 1 year and I didn't get my period until my baby was 9 months. It's nothing unusual, I wouldn't worry. If all else fails, see your family doctor.
