No, it's not in my personality to pick fights.

What you're describing is not a fight. It's an assault. There can be a thin line between the two. People aren't supposed to just start fighting each other unless there's a licensed regulatory body that sponsors the event. That is not just good advice, it's the law.
I never personally had any problems with the authorities, but I did get into fights many years ago, when I was younger and not nearly as wise. The last time, I started fighting this guy only to realize he meant for me to fight him and about 10 of his friends. That got me off that macho street fighting idiocy once and for all.

No because I have enough common sense not to put myself in situations like that. If it looks like things may get ugly or I don't trust my surroundings I leave. Thankfully I have never been there when things got ugly. And being the one who instigates the fight verbally or physically is doing just that.

Self defense is not about who hits who the hardest. It's about protecting yourself and getting out of a bad situation quickly and with minimal injury and or legal repercussions. If I wanted to hit someone the hardest I merely have to get in my car and plow right into them. That said it would be me going to the slammer afterwards regardless of who started it.

You'd do well to learn about the laws of use of force. I'm sorry to shatter the macho myth surrounding so many people's perception of self defense. This isn't a schoolyard anymore this is reality and if you're the one who started the fight or escalated it you too will be making license plates with the other guy or facing a huge lawsuit.

Sorta. It was my first semi pro Muay Thai fight. They cannot find anyone in my weight class (130) so they put the guy closest to my weight class who was about 145 lbs. Everyone can clearly see he walks at around 155 or 160 or even more. He was really musclar and huge for his weight.

I did last whole three rounds with him and gain so much respect from everyone and got few sponsors. However I got two black eyes and a dull head aches for few days.

I didn't actually pick the fight, but I could have backed out but choose to not. I don't care what others think of this, I fight whoever they put in front of me. I want to fight the best there are. I don't want to fight cans or opponent who can't fight. Plus most people would have backed out of the fight in my situtation.

A long time ago when I was 12 (before I started Shito Ryu) My cousin (same age) got a little too chatty with a girl I fancied. So I did what any hot headed adolescent boy would I accidentally spilled my drink and food all over him after apologizing, "I'm sorry coff, coff you b@st@rd Brandon" he asked me to come outside It was there he gave me the beating of my life. I walked (crawled) away a much wiser person and have never fought (except sparring) since.
