The Fact of the Matter is that according to the Council of Nicea and all Orthodox Theology since this time that the Holy Spirit is the Third person of the Trinity. This makes Him God, just like Jesus Christ and the Father. This being has been acting throughout history ever since the beginning
Genesis 1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was[a] on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Therefore because He is the third person in one substance or known in Greek as the Homoousios. It is right to call him the Holy Spirit.

"holy spirit" is fine. After all, it is not a person. It is God's power or active force.

The Catholic Encyclopedia: "Nowhere in the Old Testament do we find any clear indication of a Third Person."

Catholic theologian Edmond Fortman: "The Jews never regarded the spirit as a person; nor is there any solid evidence that any Old Testament writer held this view. . . . The Holy Spirit is usually presented in the Synoptics [Gospels] and in Acts as a divine force or power."

The New Catholic Encyclopedia: "The O[ld] T[estament] clearly does not envisage God's spirit as a person . . . God's spirit is simply God's power. If it is sometimes represented as being distinct from God, it is because the breath of Yahweh acts exteriorly." It also says: "The majority of N[ew] T[estament] texts reveal God's spirit as something, not someone; this is especially seen in the parallelism between the spirit and the power of God."—Italics ours.

A Catholic Dictionary: "On the whole, the New Testament, like the Old, speaks of the spirit as a divine energy or power."

The Holy Spirit of God lives and dwells in each and every Christian at the point of salvation.

No need for some gibberish and tongues...........God is not the author of confusion.

"Holy Spirit" is how this phrase should be written. See, any time you are referring to G-D, The Messiah, JHVA(Judaism type spelling) or any title belonging to the Holy Trinity, it is always best to use capitol letters as this is proper when you are speaking of someone or of any person for that matter! Remember please, Emanuel rose from the dead, hence He is alive and so must ALWAYS be referred to as alive, not as if He is dead! Far too many people(even those who teach The Bible) refer to The Messiah as if He were deceased! Please don't do that, it's rather insulting if one were to think about it for a minute or two!

I don't understand the question.

Holy Spirit in Christianity is used as if it were a name, so it is capitalized. When not used as a name it would not be capitalized.

Holy Spirit is the correct way to write this because it is a title or proper noun. Would you write Jesus any other way?
