A PDR (Physician's Desk Reference) ... granted, she is not a doctor ... but a working knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and biology will be VERY useful.

When I started out I needed uniforms/scrubs, shoes, good watch with sweeping second hand, stethescope, and a PDA. PDA's, like Palm Pilots, are widely used in the medical field now. PDR-type info (facts & comparisons) is avaiable for the Palm and I use that all the time. You're a very sweet Aunt to want to get her a nice gift~ I'm sure she'll love whatever you give her.

How about some scrubs? Or a gift certificate to a store that sells them so she can pick out the ones she likes, after all scrubs will be her uniform from now on at any place she works.

Anything will be appreciated....we graduate next fall, and to tell you the truth, a ton of chocolate, a bottle of tequila (just kidding) and a big sign that says, "THANK GOD" would be in order. Seriously, the scrub idea, and day of pampering would be great ideas....the amount of emotional and mental stress she has been under for a long period of time would benefit....greatly. Kudos to you for thinking of her.

properly traditionally the second one anniversary could be a cotton present -the regularly happening present is of china (this may slender the options down somewhat for you a minimum of!) perhaps for cotton you are able to get a marvelous sea coast towel and take him to the sea coast for the day? Or a bath gown - perhaps a his and hers set - and also you may be wearing 'hers' (and in reality that) even as he receives living house?!... i do not truly understand what you are able to do for china - until eventually you are able to manage to pay for tickets to china! maximum china (ie bone china) in all fairness female - yet take a go searching - there is something it truly is only suitable for him. wish I particularly have helped?!

A pair of good-quality, comfortable shoes would be a great gift! Nurses are on their feet a LOT so good shoes are a necessity.

Get her a really good stethoscope...a Sprague or better. Or get her a gift certificate to a uniform shop in her town. Or get her some pictures taken.

My idea is more sentimental than practical. When my best friend graduated from nursing school I got her the nurse Precious Moments.
