Can someone explain to me the concept that women seem to have that "True love waits"? I do not understand that. I mean, what is true love waiting on? Does that mean that these women refuse to date anyone because the person that they would be dating can't be "the one" because they are not waiting like "true" love should? How can you find out if you are truly compatible with a person as more than just friends if you do not date them? I've heard so many women turn me down because we can't be more than "just friends".... why? Is this part of the "true love waits" idea? It seems to me that women are just waiting for "true love" to fall into their lap one morning instead of seeking it out. What better way to find true love than to date your best friend? I mean, am I the only one that watches Friends? Can someone explain this idea to me?

It doesn't have anything to do with me. I learned to accept the fact long ago that there is no girl out there that finds me attractive. I just want to know what this concept of "True love waits" is supposed to mean.
