There are many problems that first-year students tend to face. For most university students, this is their first year is the first time they have been away from home. This can cause a few problems. Learning how to manage time effectively and how to study are two issues that face most new university students. Most students face some problems regarding money and the cost of books, tuition, room, board, etc. Learning how to live with and deal with roommates takes some time and some roommates just don't get along (tends to be more of a problem with women than men, don't know why). The unrestricted freedom of university can lead to other problems, like alcohol abuse as well.

A big problem for me is that I seem to spend more time waiting in lines in the financial aid office, or the counceling offices then I do studying. If I have a question about my degree I usually get sent to five other people before I get an answer and it's annoying.
Another issue is the food sucks. It could just be my college but I can't cook in my dorm unless it's microwavable, and the cafeteria food is discusting except for the pizza and burgers (not healthy) so I end up going to the student union building which has a variety of fast food to choose from.
Those are my issues and compaints!
