What is the process to make it go back to the original color?

I have bra strap length hair with layers, medium thin hair. It still has decent elasticity minus the split ends which are due for a trim. I have been dyeing it for 2 and 1/2 years and I am sick of having to dye my hair every month just to keep it from turning orange. Please help
I am going to Cactus Salon, but am trying to get a general idea of what they will have to do to my hair and what the step by step process is.

i had the same problem. i asked the salon for highlights and have them tint the regrowth every month. it is a long process but doesn't damage your hair as much as peroxiding it will do. i also asked for light brown streaks between the blonde highlights.

It relies upon on how nicely knowledgeable the salon is and how many situations you have coloured your hair. you won't get each and all the colour out thoroughly yet you could have the potential to get maximum of it out. ALL shop offered field shade is a progressive dye; meaning the extra you shade over it the darker it gets. I even have spent as much as ten hours attempting to get rid of previous shade from hair. in case you have thick hair it ought to soak up to 2 hours for a million utility. If the salon advised you over the telephone they could do it, possibilities are high the guy you talked to had no clue what they have been speaking approximately. i individually could make no ensures and that i particular does no longer provide you a timeline without seeing you in individual.

the dreaded bleach is usually what they will use to stip your hair of its color. They may use a toner after to soften the blonde. I wouldn't expect (or want) to go too blonde right away because it will definitely take some damage and you may end up with straw for hair. Ask for a conditioning treatment after the color (may cost you an extra ten bux but worth it). Be sure to express your concerns with your hairdresser. If you're not happy with it, say something.

I've had my hair a dark brown and wanted it blonde again and they just pulled blonde highlights through it. I've only heard of hair getting the color stripped if someone had light blonde who dyed it black, but i could be wrong.
