Can I get a flat stomach by just doing a diet? No exercise whatsoever, zero nada

Depends on how overweight you are. If all you need to lose is 15-20 lbs., sure you can have a flat stomach. Anymore than that and it becomes questionable. Also, you need to consider losing weight without exercise will mean that you lose almost all muscle and muscle tone, thus looking like crap when you are down to your ideal weight.

you can lose by just dieting but if your older you might find without exercise you will have excess skin hang as the skin will have less elasticity in it to bounce back into shape.

if you lose it fast yes you will have excess skin. however pilates is wonderful!! i bought a dvd and its' been working! i am losing weight in my breasts (damn damn double damn!) but with pilates they are keeping some sort of shape. i've lost weight before when i was pregnant ( i suffered from severe reflux) and my breast were so saggy! so try pilates, it's strength training, and excellent in getting you balanced and toned. good luck!
