I am looking to get a tattoo and am trying to find symbols that represent courage and/or self-discovery. Does anyone know of a good place to look for symbols or images? I have tried almost all of the tattoo design websites, but I want to find a site that gives me various symbols/ideas for the words? Anyone have any recommendations?

If you're looking for a symbol from a certain place, try googling 'celtic symbols courage' or something of the like. Very often, jewelry will have symbolic meaning too, so try googling 'courage jewelry,' too. Just make sure you double/triple/quadruple check the symbol, you don't want to get something that means something completely different.

what represents courage and self discovery to you? usually the tattoos that people like the best are the ones that have special meaning to you and not just a "symbol" that you didn't even know the meaning of a few months ago. think hard on it and whatever sticks in your mind is what you should get. think outside the box and get something that is close to your heart.

Google searches will probably get you something. You don't even have to use the word tattoo in the search and you'll find general images, paintings, whatever that should help you out. Also using the dictionary and thesaurus to see what other words you can search under might be helpful if you reach a dead end.
Another great thing you can always do is take your ideas to a skilled custom tattoo artist and have them draw you up something unique and one of kind. Good luck.
