Tape worms..a big problem with cats. The worm lives in the intestines of the cat. It feeds off the cat..no matter how much she eats the tape worms absorb it. The only cure is to take her to vet and have them give you meds to dissolve the worms. This is my guess. I have dealt with hundreds of stray cats and my own cats. Really sounds like tape worms.

I was concerned about this same thing with one of my cats, but the vet assured me that my cat was perfectly healthy. he has had all of his shots, and he just happens to be a very active (at 2 a.m.) and happy cat. She could tell by his disposition that he was feeling fine and that he was so small because of his metabolism and it is just how he is built. If your cat's personality has changed at all, i would certainly be concerned. If she is a happy kitty and eats her food...I'm sure she is fine.

It could be a high metabolism or maybe she has worms.

I have a skinny little cat who eats a ton of food-- he's just naturally thin.

She may be very active and burn up what she eats.

Another cause could be worms or parasites. Are you taking her to the vet? Something as simple as a wormer could help your kitty put weight on!

Those are the classic symptoms of hyperthyroidism, which is fairly common with cats. Your vet can do a blood check to determine if she has this.

get her checked for worms or other parasites. they will often make your pet skinny by feeding of of what you pet eats, and you pet wont get much of the neutrients.

She probably has tapeworm. You can tell by checking her tail area or litter box for what looks like pieces of rice. Please take her to the vet for a wormer.
