I am a 16 year old girl, and I live in indiana. My mother is diagnosed with bipolar, lately she has been fighting physically with me and Child Protective Services have got involved. My 30 year old sister is willing to take me for a short period of time.

HOWEVER...my friends mother who has adopted her sister's children, is willing to take me in for good. This family lives in California. They are very good people and a great family and are also able and willing to prove all of this. Is me moving out there even possible? I want to be apart of their family and they want to help me. I am 16, do i have any sayso in where i go? I am planning on telling my social worker too...

You do have a say, but just explain why. If you'd feel safer elsewhere, then that's where you should go. You are the one being moved around, and you do have a say, don't forget that. Do what you think is best for you. Welcome to the real world. It's full of decisions. Good luck.

Your adult friend will have to get clearence with the social services office that is handling your case. Then they will have to coordinate the process between the states involved.
