The volume of any object is the ammount of space it can accomodate. With that being said, here are the basic equations for the most basic shapes:
For a sphere,
V = pi * d^3 / 6
V = pi * 4 * r^3 / 3
For a circular cylinder,
V = pi * d^2 * h / 4
For a rectangular prism
V = a * b * h
A cube is a special case of a rectangular prism in which all the sides are equal to a. The volume equation then becomes;
V = a^3

Hi,
Put it in a bowl of water then place the object into it, weigh the water that's displaced and this will give you the objects Volume, sorry I can't remember the weight of water = volume formal but it's easy.

simplest is a box.
height x width x depth.
But that only works for boxes.
If you want the formulae go here:

measure some water in a measuring cup or a bucket that measures water. gently put in the object and count how many cups/ml/liters/ect. the water went up, and there's your volume
