The early US settlers suffered disease, starvation, Indian attacks, sabotage, plague, warfare, horrid weather, lack of knowledge, etc., yet they built the US into a colossal super power that fought and won in the Pacific and in Europe during WWII.

So why can't illegal aliens start businesses, teach skills, and better their communities instead of abandoning the problem? Don't give me the drivel that the Mexican government is screwing them over, because opportunities abound in Mexico. And the Mexican people are many and their government is few.

The early US settlers were oppressed by the empire of England ... by the empire of Spain ... by the government of France ... and by various Indian tribes. Aren't the illegal aliens just as capable as the early settlers were? Or are they not?

The early settlers were also at risk of life and fortune if they stood up to the English Empire, the Empire of Spain, the Government of France and so on. Many died and lost everything questioning these governments. Dont' you get it?

So the question remains, if they can do it, why can't illegals? Illegals have countless advantages over what the early settlers had so why can't they make their country a better place to live?

Why stay in their own country and have to work hard and strive to fix their problems when they can come to the US and steal our ID's, SSN's, Jobs, Welfare, Education....

Simple....

ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS IS AS ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINAL DOES.

They don't want to fix their country they want to take over ours.

That 'government' is not complete, nor is it a representation of all the indiginous populations it 'governs'... mexico's 'government is a minority of people, ruleing over subjugated factions and cultures, and tribes, and THEY are the majority....
If you are going to judge that countrys peopels, at least research what they have to deal with politically.
Associateing our history to there situation is a bit hipocritical, this country is not a kingdom, or a dictatorship, or communistic...there country is elliments of all those. There arent the political resorces down there , that are available to us.
If failure to consider reality and actuality and practicality remains "drivel" that country's problems will continue to escalate untill we in the U. S. A. will have a first hand knowledge of what it is like in Africa, or Cambodia, or India these days.
The solution to Mexico's problems can only worsen, if America's apathy and ruthless diss-regard of the conditions causeing this exodus of people from that country continues.

The solution is not going to be a 'defence of borders', because these people are not ailens, so much as they are refugees. Why Americans do not understand that actuality, escapes me.

Contrary to what Dee Why! thinks, that is a great question! The question of why not only these people, but other immigrants who come to the US to "better" themselves, will not go back to "their" country to make it better, is quite perplexing. In the US, we have people from every country in the world that come here, get educated, make more money than they can ever imagine, and gain some sort of pride in themselves which they might not otherwise have gained in their home country; yet, they do not turn this around and try to make their countries more like the one in which they gained all of their "riches." I, for one, believe that they are afraid! Being a Black American, I can say that being one of the most persecuted and executed people, we have come a long way because we dared to dream of an America which accepted us for the human beings that we are, instead of the "property" we were known to be of at the outset of this country's beginnings. From slave revolts, to fighting and dying for this country during the French Revolution, Civil War, World Wars, etc., to the civil rights movement, Black people knew that they had to die in order to get what they so desired and rightfully deserved; freedom! we hear how strong-willed, and hard-working these people are that come from all of these countries; yet, none of them have the "cajones" to make change.

They can't make it a better place on their own not many people will stand up to the government over there its not as easy as you think they can get their property taken away whenever the government wants to take it away you cant say nothing because you havent lived over there if you say something about the government you can get in trouble. Its not that they abandoned the problems its because they dont have rights like we do over here.

They come here for the freebies,I guarantee if we didnt have welfare ect. they wouldnt come here. Most third world illegals come to the U.S. for personal economic reasons. Most do not come to cherish our democratic system. Many so called "immigration rights" groups "fan the fire" with their rhetoric which encourages immigrants to preserve their culture and language at tax payers expense. Among some of these groups, the word "assimilation" is considered xenophobic.

They come here because it is easier than trying to fix their country. They don't care that they are breaking the law. They are looking out for their own butt.

I don't care where the ILLEGAL alien comes from, they MUST come legally. DO IT RIGHT! What part of ILLEGAL is do hard to understand?

If you come to think of it if you say we are running away from our problems when we went to war with Britain the 13 colonies as well were running away from their problems with the king so they came here for a better life the America and guess what people were here already which was indians so instead we hurt them and killed them for making it our own and also we are the ones who stole their land and made it our own. so thats what the US is good at stealing land and just like what you say about my people (even though i was born here) ran away from problems too

unlawful immigrants are foreigners, they often belong to minority ethnic communities and races, they often would be unable to talk English, and while they might, they often have a foreign places accessory. Many human beings are racist and xenophobic, so it particularly is easy for them to hate unlawful immigrants and blame them for all of our united states of america's ills. unlawful immigration does reason issues, case in point human beings using public centers without paying taxes, and taking jobs faraway from human beings (minimum salary rules do no longer prepare to unlawful immigrants, so businesses can save money on the cost of human beings by technique of hiring unlawful extraterrestrial beings). yet different issues such because of the fact the war in Iraq are lots worse. You made a competent factor on the subject of the war costing billions of greenbacks. The war is often what brought about the hugh deficits the government has, and it has killed hundreds of human beings. i understand on occasion you hear approximately human beings being killed by technique of illegals, yet human beings are being killed and maimed in Iraq on a daily basis. unlawful immigration is a significant concern, one that needs to be solved quicker relatively than later. yet different issues, like the war in Iraq, are lots worse.

They can but they wont, and why? Because our border is wide open.. and they know all they have to do is cross it and they have free health care and other social programs they can leech off of.
They won't stay in Mexico and try to better their own country until we seal ours and arrest and deport everyone caught sneaking over here.
