i buy meat and have frozen it or use it fresh and when i cook it it tastes odd ,latley i have thrown a lot away due to odd taste.i have tryed baking soda in the freezer etc nothing seems to help is the fridge the problem or is it the meat??? any ideas would be appriciated

eww..yes. I bought ground beef yesterday and it smelled like old milk. Nothing is wrong with my fridge. Maybe I just got funky meat.. I tossed it. I always get my meat at the same place and i've never noticed it being wierd before. Maybe check the temp on your fridge to see if it needs to be adjusted. fridge should be 5 degrees and freezer -18 degrees

Well, if it is consistently a problem (and you are certain that your freezer/refrigerator is cold enough), I would change butchers. It's possible that the quality control at the place you are buying from isn't the greatest.

i think ask however works their to check to see if it is still good!!!!! or check if you're freezer still works good.
