First of all...satan is real and was NOT made by us.
Second....without Christ as the center of your worship....it's a cult and you are worshipping satan.
The god you are worshipping is a false god.

Some are misinformed.

As are you.

Christians did not "invent" satan. The word satan means adversary in Hebrew. It is not a name. It should not be capitalized.

The idea of a fallen angel who rules over hell and disrupts happiness on earth comes from the Old Testament which is Jewish.

Hence the term "Judeo-Christian."

Some Christians believe pagan gods to be demonic in origin.

Which still doesn't make pagans satanists.

Generally speaking though, there is a lot of ignorance as to what a satanist is. So the poor pagans get lumped in.

I think that almost all intelligent people fully understand that Pagans are not Satanists. However, some people only believe what their preachers or religious leaders tell them, and those preachers continue to spread rumors without doing a shred of legitimate research. Some religious traditions don't even require their leaders to attend seminary or have any form of higher education. This is why it's so crucial to study outside of your belief system, whatever it might be. I honor my religious leaders, but if they say something from the pulpit that sounds like BS, you can bet I'll be following up on it with private research.

they call you a satanist because it upsets them that you don't buy into their way of thinking. i've been called a satanist too and i believe in the biblical G-d. its pretty skewed.

"The idea of a fallen angel who rules over hell and disrupts happiness on earth comes from the Old Testament which is Jewish."

no, this idea is entirely christian, and there is no basis for it in the hebrew scriptures. please do not slander our religion by implying that your ridiculous demi-god satan has anything to do with judaism.

Actually Its only some Christians that say Pagans are Satanists.

actually, pagans don't even have to worship anything. i don't even believe in a personified deity. it's a broad term which refers to a range of spiritual paths which are Earth centered -- involving their members living in harmony with the Earth and observing its cycles

abrahamic traditions think that if you're not with them, then you're with satan

I think that Jesus put the spin on this one. And when I look at the subject as analytically as I can, I have to agree that they don't know who it is that they worship:

John 4:20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews . . .

Well it's mainly only Christian Fundies. Because they believe that any religion that isn't worshiping their God is devil worship.
