With the exercises: Do crunches, that's only going up halfway. For breakfast, start off with oatmeal with a little brown sugar, a piece of fruit, and a glass of milk. Lunch a cesar salad, with no croutons, and light dressing. For a snack: Cheese sticks are good. For dinner, have some protein. Lean chicken. Just remember small portions, and balance out proteins and fats with fruits and veggies. Go with things that say low-fat. Cut out the soda in your diet, and you will lose a lot more weight. There are other ab exercises you can do as well that will help you.

The site listed below contains much information about maintaining a healthy diet. It may have more information than you want or need but it never hurts to be well informed. If you cut out everything you love to eat, you will not stay on a diet plan. It is better to reward your good habits by giving yourself a small treat of what you like once a week. Alittle of what you crave along the way is better than trying to abstain from it only to break and end up gorging yourself on it. Also, if you 'pig out' at some time, do not let this make you give up on your goal to eat better. Just count it as being human and go back to the diet you have set for yourself. As for tummy fat, sit ups are fine but doing crunches, even in the comfort of your bed, will help tighten the abs and stomach. The best overall excercise for toning the body is swimming. You use more muscles swimming than you use in any other excercise. I helped tighten my saggy tummy by consciously holding my stomach in and standing and sitting erect. After a week or so I did not even have to remind myself to do it. It became second nature. The main thing to remember is that you need to maintain a healthy diet lifestyle not just go on a diet in order to lose a few pounds quickly or because you are worried about your looks. All diets will eventually fail but making good food choices changes your outlook on food and you do not become a slave to fad diets or crash diets. There are no "miracle" diets or weight loss drugs. You just waste your money on things that will make you feel like a failure when they do not deliver on thier outrageous claims. I eat 6 micro meals a day so my body burns what I eat instead of storing it as fat.. My personal choice for toning my body are pilates and tai chi. They strengthen my body as well as help my mental outlook on life. No one except a Dietician can actually tell you what is best for you to each each day.Much of that depends on your likes and dislikes in food, your schedule and the amount of money you have available to buy food. It is, however, good to keep in mind that what you do eat should be of nutritional value and not just empty calories. Use your good common sense and think about what you eat. Ask yourself if it has high nutritive value or if it is just fat and/or empty calories.

I think you already have some of the answers. You probably don't need to cut your snacks at all you just need to substitute them with healthier options. You can snack on fruits, low fat yogurt, diet cereal or protein bars, nuts or low fat cheese. Try watching your portions and make small changes when you eat like eating more vegetables instead of carbs' like potatoes, bread or rice or substitute them for the wholewheat option. Chose lean meats like fish, turkey or chicken. For breakfast you can try low sugar cereals with low fat milk, fruits, or eggs. I don't think you need to loose weight you just need to toned your body. You can buy one of many exercise DVDs that target the abs' at any mayor store. Good Luck!!

Egg and whole wheat toast OR oatmeal for breakfast. The protein in the egg and the fiber in the bread or oatmeal will help you to feel satisfied and full longer.

Apple or banana for snack.

Lean chicken with lettuce, tomato, fat free mayo, and mustard on whole wheat bread or as a wrap with a tortilla for lunch with water or a diet drink and some fresh baby carrots and celery.

A SMALL bowl of low sugar, high fiber cereal with skim milk for snack OR a yogurt.

Supper: Fish or lean meat broiled or pan "fried" in butter spray, green beans or lettuce salad, baked potato with broth and butter spray (I Can't Believe It's Not Butter butter spray found in the dairy refrigerated section is marvelous!).

Snack: Hot air popcorn with butter spray or a Wt. WAtcher cookies and cream bar.
