You have to make sure you have ACCURATE knowledge before you go out and start spreading the good news. We as Jehovah's Witness before we can even go out and do our ministry we have to answer some basic bible question to make sure we are spreading the right info.

Jesus went door to door, whoever had an ear he would talk to. People didn't like Jesus' method of teaching and thought he was bring forth lies like people think we do today, hence they killed him. We put our faith in God and we are commanded to do this work, so we are going to do it. If people listen that's great, if they don't we move on. But we have to make sure that everyone knows what's going on and has a chance to decide to do something or not., so when things happen they can't say "I didn't know"

Eze. 33:8 "When I say to someone wicked, ‘O wicked one, you will positively die!’ but you actually do not speak out to warn the wicked one from his way, he himself as a wicked one will die in his own error, but his blood I shall ask back at your own hand. 9 But as regards you, in case you actually warn someone wicked from his way [for him] to turn back from it but he actually does not turn back from his way, he himself will die in his own error, whereas you yourself will certainly deliver your own soul. "

Which religion is known for there preaching work?

Everyday, every country, every tongue.

MAtt. 7:17 "Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit;"
Matt. 7:2 "Really, then, by their fruits YOU will recognize those [men]. "

Really then Jehovah's Witness are really fulfilling bible prophecy found at Matthew 24:14.

"And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. "

These may not be new, but they are my thoughts.

1. Be an example of his word. Let others see how his word has affected you and perhaps they will become interested in learning more.
2. Use today’s technology. Yahoo answers is not the best example of this, but the Internet, TV, radio and other things can be used to spread the word quickly and efficiently.
3. Know what the word is. There are many religions or individuals spreading the word of God that don’t necessarily agree on what the word is. A “feel good” religion that ignores Christ in my opinion is wrong, yet following God’s word should make you happy.
4. Learn what kind of people are ready to accept it. Some religious TV shows I have seen can do more harm to some kinds of people than good.
5. Seek out people individually. It is much easier to learn the word of God from a friend than a stranger or a chat room.
6. Pray for guidance and tolerance.

What offends me? Not a lot, but likely:

1. People that tell me I am wrong.
2. People that won't listen to my side of the story.
3. People that don't have an open mind to the things I am saying to them.

Unfortunately were you and I to sit down together and talk about God and our religion (which I believe is different) I would likely do the same things to you that I say offend me.

Live your life the best christian way you can as an example. Then only answer sincere questions only when asked. I say ,don't ,.... do not try to shove it down peoples throats. Only god can make a seed you plant grow no matter how hard you try. Leave it to him.

Word of mouth and using the Bible to help back you up. Also you can speak to those that have an open heart and are willing to listen. Those that preach and make a big deal to those that don't want to hear it are very annoying and don't realize that they are doing more harm than good.

I'm going to answer this question from an atheist standpoint.

Don't knock on doors. The best way to show your beliefs is to walk the walk. I'm much more likely to listen to someone who is a good person on the inside and out and isn't screaming at me to repent. They won't change my mind, but I'd at least listen to them more.

Depends. Are you trying to please God or men? If you're trying to please God, follow the methods given in his word. Jesus gave the command in Matthew 28:19,20 to GO and make disciples. Jesus also led by example...he went to the people...he didn't merely wait for them to come to him. (true, people did come to him because they'd heard about him and his message, but he didn't sit around waiting for them to show up...he went out preaching).

The first century Christians also followed Jesus' example and went out to preach. In Acts 5:41, 42 it states: These, therefore, went their way from before the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy to be dishonored in behalf of his name. And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

Notice that they were rejoicing for being dishonored in behalf of his name. It didn't matter what the people thought about them coming to preach to them. They were following God as ruler, rather than men. (Acts 5:29)

True, we never want to purposely offend someone...but we still should follow the examples given. Most will be offended anyway.....But right-hearted ones will show interest. And that's who we're looking for...right-hearted ones.

In the Bible, it says that the best way to spread God's word is to use your personal testimony of how you came to know him.

For most people, this happens around there late teens or early twenties (for me age 22).

Explain how you came to the realization of the living God. Often times, you testimony will include a series or Miracles that God used to prove that he was real, but don't scare anyone ;)

Also, become familiar with his word, especailly romons 12 verse 9, which details the definition of Christianity.

Here it is:

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.Do not be conceited.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"says the Lord. On the contrary:
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (NIV)

Live your life like Jesus is returning tonight, love everyone even when they hate you, and always be lead by the Holy Spirit.

If and only if someone comes up to you wanting to know about it. We don't live in an information vaccuum anymore, so there's no need to proselytize, unless they seek YOU out.
