I'm looking into buying a used Dodge Ram 4X4, but it has 110,000 miles on it, and it's only $6000, everything is running good, and it's being sold at a dealership so they have a warranty backing it up; what I would like to know is, is the truck or car worth buying if it has over 100,000 miles on it? And how long will it last me??

Sorry, I would not support your purchase. Based on ratings, Dodge trucks have poor reliability ratings and a lot of transmission issues. If they give you a warranty, it would probably be for 30 days and limited. A 4X4 you never know whats its been through and how it was treated....

well first off find out if the bearings have been changed in the front end ..or if the transfer case has ever been changed..the dodge 4x4 is a great truck i had a few now..but the problem with them is the front bearings and transfer case..they are very expensive to change..one front bearing hub is almost 750 canadian..and that does not include the labour..check the color of the transmission oil and transfer case oil..if the tranny oil is dark red..that means it's been heated many times..if the transfer case oil is dark brown and cloudy that means it's been driven hard..and also check the back of the engine for any signs of oil the main seal is prone to fail on these trucks also ..if everything checks out buy the truck..my last one i sold it was a 94 laramie slt 360 magnum and it had over 450 thousand klm..i don't know what that would be in miles..and it still ran like it was brand new..the thing with dodge is you have to keep the fluids changed frequently ..
