Hi
Im getting a tattoo on saturday and I still cant be sure of the design, I want my daughters name "Lily" and the lily flower maybe in the design, something small buy bold and on the top of my spine.
Any ideas? Is it worth me just going in and getting them to sketch something there and then or should I take my own design? Where can I see and print off some great tattoo designs that arnt all huge ugly ones?
I have 2 done already, one on the base of my spine which took 3hrs, so dont need any replies about the obvious "its gonna hurt"! thanks!

Do both..take your own design and get them to do one for you...then decide..it is gonna be there forever after all.

A suggestion would be to get the lily flower and maybe in the stem have your daughters name or you can even get a small bouquet of lilies and in the ribbon holding them together have your daughters name.

Well, I would have them draw something up for you so that its perfect and just what you want. But if you still aren't 110% sure on the design wait to get the ink.
I have a tattoo on the back of my neck, the pain is just annoying, but bearable.

You should do what you think what is the best desision to make about a tattoo(it is perniment and cost a lot to get it off). Personally I would have the name "Lily" first then make it blend in with the most beautiful lily flower you can find, enough to look beautiful, but can also see the name Lily. personally i would, but it is your choice.

That is soooooooooooo freaky I JUST had the letter 'A' for my daughters name tattooed right there, and sorry to say it but that bit of bone at the back of your neck, that really feckin hurts, made me sweat.
There are loads of websites with design, but you have to pay to print them, but if you are okay at drawing copy it, then get the artist to refine it a bit.

Most artists are very easy to work with. Tell him/her what you want. They can draw it up for you. If you don't like it...simply say so! They will be happy to make any changes or start from scratch again. You're the customer. And if you still aren't satisfied....you don't have to get it. Go do research then come back.

i have a couple on the nape of my neck and i am a slim tone and i thought i was gonna kill me but its easy really trust me just make sure you go with a full belly trust it works with pain feeling

if you can't find something that is completely pleasing to you, try either taking what you have to the artist and let him/her modify it, or have them draw something up for you.
the pain is bareable, as is with any other place on your body. i have the Buddhist sign Om there.

i got one on me neck wasnt that bad got a Shamrock.. got one on me Arm yesterday that hurt the most one on me chest was like Uch neer the end good luck

Have a few drinks before you have it done, but check out web sites on Google for pictures, you nay get some ideas..
