Yes it is. Most dyes have their own types of chemicals in the product. If you mix them you are certain to get a bad result. You may even get an unwanted color.. or permanent damage.
If the dyes are chemical opposites... your hair may even fall out. It's the chance you take by mixing products.
I don't recommend it.

Yes! Don't mix it, you'll end up with some off the wall rainbow color. Your best bet, if you have long hair is to go to Sally's beauty supply ( they are everywhere) and buy the creme and color there. You can talk to somebody there about how much you will need and how much to mix it.

Don't do it....Home color kits are what keep us hairstylists in business.

If you want to get your hair colored, please see a professional. It will probablly cost you about $50 - $100 at the most but if you use the home color and screw it up you will be looking at alot more.

For example I charge $65 for color, to fix it I charge $65 per hour. So you could be possibly looking at $200 - $300 for a fix.

as long as they are the same brand you can, but you won't know what the color result will be.

I personally mix a red tone (full bottle) with a light brown (1/4 bottle) to achieve the color auburn I like.

Talk to a beautician if you really want to know more.

No, but you have to be professional enough to know the color wheel and how much of what needs to be mixed...cosmetology school doesn't just cover how to cut...you learn chemistry, anatomy, and the color wheel

Well if you planning to leave it like that forever then it is bad but if you just want something new is fine :)

I've done it, but I've, also, had some pretty peculiar hair because of it, so...at your own risk, k?
