Perhaps it was a Thia Pitbull.I have just been watching The Dog Whisperer on TV & there was one on there.I also saw a question on here a few weeks ago about a problem with a Thia Pitbull.

Could you mean a pitbull/thai dog? There are a couple of rescues that bring in strays from Thailand (many countries treat strays as garbage and their only chance for a life is to hitch a ride here). The most common breeds there are Thai Ridgebacks, Thai Bangkaew Dogs. These dogs once here may be called a pit/thai mix due the their similar expressions of concern due to wrinkles on their heads.

Yes, I read your additional comments, and i saw the show you are referring to, it was a Thai Ridgeback/Pit mix. Thai Ridgebacks are an interesting breed, I see one at the dog park quite often and it seems to have springs in his legs.

In what context did you hear about it? I havent heard anything like that. Mostly I think it might be a Kennel that breeds it. It could just mean that It belongs to that Kennel like
Thia Kennels... we breed and sell Thia Pittbulls or something like that. I dont think its anything other than a normal pittbull.
Now that you have additional info, then it probably referred to a Thai crossed Pittbull, some type of Thai breed, and was misspelled. AND FOR WHOEVER thumbed me down I DONT breed pittbulls I was giving an example you dork.. that maybe he read in the paper some where there were Thia Pittbulls for sale or something. jeez.

Are you sure it was "Thia" and not "Thai"? While there is no "Thai Pit Bull", there are several "Thai" dogs. http://www.thaidog.org/sakorn/whatkindofdog.html

But, who knows. That show is such a sham. I just don't get why people trust that guy so much. I wouldn't let ANYONE sued for animal abuse 'care' for my dog.

My guess is it is a cross between a thai ridgeback and a pit bull

I think it's likely the same breed. Where did you see this reference?
