yes I think sometimes we should care what people think of us. But not all the time just be yourself.Because if you care to much it could change the way you act.

Yes, we should care what people say...just not let the way they tell us to cause us any pain.

When someone gossips or "rips" you for the sake of being mean, PLEASE ignore them. They will be punished soon enough, but not always in front of you. You will not always see the revenge. Just let it fly over your head, since you are smarter and much classier than they are to get back at them.

If they say something about you that is a problem, then look at the problem and see if it can be corrected. If you are always late and someone complains that you are late, then it is your fault and you need to correct it. If you are always cursing, it may disturb others and you need to make an adjustment to that.

Just don't let the WAY that they tell you, bother you or cause worry. Not everyone can speak in a civil tone to help you. Sometimes, people just like to whine or holler at us when we make a mistake. That is the problem that they need to adjust!

See how it works?

Your question is too general and not precise so I will give you an example of when to care.

If you are looking for a girlfriend, a life partner you are obviously looking for a specific person with certain qualities and the same goes for her. So in this instance you should certainly care about what this person is going to think about you otherwise you may never be with her.

Well most people now adays do. But that does not make it right. You should not care about what people tell you or what they think of you. O.k so some times say your parents or some one who has advice tells you something then its ok to put that into mind well doing what ever you are doing. But say a kid at school tells you that you look weird then they can go GET A LIFE!!!!!!!! Just because some one tells you something does not make it true.

Depends on who is doing the supposing. I think society and human nature is such that we can't help but care about others' opinion. Personally I live by the motto that I'm never going to please everyone, so as long those I care about are not offended by me and my conscience is clear, I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks.

Well, yes and no. If it has to do with bullying and juust downright discouraging behavior, I think we would do ourselves good by not caring. But if a serious problem such as an eating disorder was to come up, we should care about what others think and voice about the situation. Like if they were trying to reach out and get you treatment, then you should care about what they think.

NO. The great people of the world, met much opposition. Form Dr. King to Jesus himself. Many others thought what they were saying and doing was bad. But they didn't care. They helped shape our society today.

I think we should leave a possitive impression on what others think of us after all in said and done!
People share a big inpact with what they "share" with others! if you don't make and keep a good name for yourself than it's obvious that you run accross in your life wont either! I always keep a good standing and positive thoughts going even with friends that drift from my life! you never know who they could run into ; a future boss, boy/ girlfriend, inlaw, etc. ..
I know i've run into the simiar situation and i wont hold my tongue back from speaking the truth!
My mom told me to be appriciative with people who help you on your climb up they could be there to break the fall when you're coming down!

To a point. Its human nature to want to be liked and accepted. However, one is not supposed to give up their morals just to appease someone else. In the long run, you really only need to impress one person, you. (Well.. maybe mom too....) You do what you know is right and don't worry about anyone else.

Sure its only human nature to care about what others think about you but not to let it bother you because most likely what you hear aren't the kindest things and probably unexpected.
you know? People have strong oppinons and some opposites don't attract
