Stop now, that is WAY too much water. As others said, there is a such thing as water intoxication and it can be deadly. There was the woman who died drinking too much water in CA in that radio station contest, and before that a little girl died from drinking too much water as a punishment, may her parents rot in hell.
You only need around 64 ounces of water a day for proper hydration, and not all of it has to come from drinking water alone. There is water in fruits and vegetables, so if you are getting enough of them, just drink when you are thirsty. Thirst is how your body lets you know you need more.

Yes. There is such a thing as water intoxication where you can actualy die from drinking too much water. The headaches are your body's way of telling you to chill. Remember the woman recently who dies after drinking all that water to win a radio station contest? keep that in mind. I believe 32 ounces of water a day is fine.

The headaches have some other cause. You're drinking nearly 4 liters/day. As long as you spread this out over the course of a day, that's fine. Kidneys can process up to 15 liters/day.
FYI to all: It's not how much water you drink, it's how quickly you drink it. Too many answers posted here seem unaware of this. If you drink your 3.75L over the course of a day, you will replace sodium, as well as other electrolytes with the foods you eat. Water intoxication (with its resultant hyponatremia) exists, yes, but it's rare.
And the recommended amount is NO LESS THAN 1500 (50oz.) - 2000mL (67oz.) and this is not dependent on normal thirst.

That's WAY too much water in a day...nearly a gallon. Experts reccommend 64 ounces in a day (8 eight ounce glasses), and some experts argue that may still be overdoing it. But forcing yourself to drink excessively can lead to what's called water toxicity, where you dilute your electrolytes to a level that is too low for your body to function properly. A mental health patient I worked with drank 3 gallons of water and had to have his stomach pumped, so you need to be careful not to overdo it. Your body is telling you to cut back.

that is so unhealthy... please stop asap.
you only need 64 ounces, that's it. you could poison yourself that way, there is such thing as overdosing on water....you can even look it up online.
here are some websites, they aren't very good articles but i just wanted to post this fast:
http://www.erowid.org/culture/health/health_water_poisoning.shtml
and wikipedia has some articles as well, go to wikipedia.com and type in "water poisoning."
I hope you'll stop this immediately.
PS- I just looked at other peoples' responses to your question and they are very uneducated. You ARE drinking too much water and that is causing the headaches. Talk to your doctor if you have more health questions, and please be careful

Eight 8 ounce glasses of water, or 64 ounces is the daily recommended amount. You can get water poisoning and die if you drink too much water.

That is an awful lot of water. It is possible that you are overhydrating...it is possible to do this, and it can be fatal. I suggest cutting back on the water...6 to 10 glasses a day is sufficient.

The safe amount of water to drink daily is drinking exactly half of your body weight. For example: If you weigh 150 lbs.....drink 75 oz. of water daily. If you weigh 160lbs....drink 80 oz. of water daily, if you weigh 180 lbs.....drink 90 oz. of water daily. That's all your body needs & to exceed that amount is only borrowing trouble.
