Do you think our Political Leaders who profess to be *Bible Believing* Christians or Jews have a obligation to say Homosexuals are commiting Adultery and Idolatry in GOD's eye? or do you think they will remain silent if Homosexual Marraige becomes legal.

It's happening in Canada...and I don't agree with it.

Most politicians are useless. They are voted in to represent the people, but all they represent is their 'wallet.'

It frustrates me to see the state of the country; and see how much things have deteriorated morally...

We started out as a Christian country, and we've been foolish enough to allow other beliefs to dominate the foundations of our laws/rules ----

Homosexual marriage should never be allowed.
(and no, I don't "hate" homosexuals - before I start recieving harrassing comments from gays/lesbiens.)

*Added:
Judging by the thumbs down I've received, I think I'll go and run for politics...lol...Since afterall, it's about time for someone to open their mouth and take a stand for God.

Many politicians who profess to be Bible believing profess it because it makes them sound like a "good" person. If homosexual marriage becomes legal, we will see who follows Christ and who does not. Silence says quite a bit, does it not?

Beyond religion, the union between two people of the same sex is the end to the circle of life; Nature makes its own statement, without God even being considered. A child requires a healthy, natural balance with both a female role model (we call her mom) and a male role model (we call him dad). Two mommies don't cut it; two daddies don't, either.
The fact that the circle of life gets cut off immediately upon this idea coming forward, is why one of the major agendas of the homosexual lobby is to get the legal okay for them to adopt children; in this way, they feel they can argue that they are able to limp along that circle of life by taking children that have been made wards of the state.
Did you hear that this week the 9th circuit court made the final decision that these following words and phrases are no longer legally used in the workplace? Ready?

1. natural family
2. family values
3. The word "marriage", but only if the conversation is regarding a marriage which is known to be of a woman and a man.

This is an amendment to the free speech you and I enjoy. What will they say we cannot utter next? Will it be "God"??

If you say any of those terms at the workplace, you lose your job along with any benefits, pension, life insurance or anything else you would have earned, even if you have worked at your job for 30 years and are going to retire next month. You will have worked your whole life for nothing.

Welcome to the new United States of America.

I think if homosexual marriages are to become legal, as is real marriages and not just civil unions, all of our political leaders that are Christians and Jews and Muslims are hypocrits. Gay marriages are adultery, if they cheat on each other then they are committing adultery. I don't know where you are going with the idolarty thing. Are you thinking that our leaders are idolizing the secular world instead of God? Then yes, I'd agree with that. Many Christian today, I see, are making material possessions and other people their god instead of worshiping God. Money and sex seems to be the biggest idol in America. If gays are allowed to marry, then it's because our leaders are silent in their religious beliefs. The sad thing is that during election time, I hear many that are running say that they are a Christian but that they will not let their belief interfer with their political career. I see something really wrong with this. Because one's faith IS to be number one in one's life! Christianity is supposedly the main religion in America. IF all Christians put God first, whether you were a senator, a president,a lobbyist, a lawyer, a judge, etc. America would not have so many issues with crimes and injustice. IF ALL the Christians actually put God first like they are suppose to, America would be a better place. And God would bless us. I see Him punishing us more and more.

Inevitably, this law will change. As pointed out, with each generation, homophobia becomes less and less apparent. So, at some point, laws will be changed, and will be done by the political leaders of that time. This will also be about the time that homosexuals will be allowed to openly serve in the military. The same holds true in the military. The leadership in the military is of an older generation. As younger generations move into those leadership roles, this policy will also be changed.

A politician will almost always go with the opinion held by the majority of his/hers followers.

That is why so many change their tunes when popular opinion sways to the other side of an issue. It is why Mitt Romney defended abortion rights/ civil unions when running for Governor of liberal state MA but is now on the opposite side trying to get all the votes from the conservative states.

I'm a Bible believing Christian and I think that God can handle it if Gay marriage was legalized. It doesn't take a marriage to sin. In fact, some people find more ways to sin after marriage than they had before.

I think that some Christians are just demonically distracted. Instead of the Gospel message, they want to institute their own message of Anti Gay rhetoric.

No, I think political leaders have an obligation to govern in the best interests of their constituency, which includes minorities of all stripes, including gays.

Ok, I am confused. Why would they say homosexuals being married would be either idolatry or adultry? Idolatry has to do with worshiping idols. Adultry is having sex with someone else's spouse (or being divorced if you take Jesus's words literally) Hmm, maybe they dont call divorce adultry because most of them are divorced.

I would respect a politician who would be willing to quote the bible on the subject. Most are afraid to however.

I think that no matter what their personal beliefs are, they must refrain from forcing those views onto everyone via legislation.

Same gender marriages are legal in Massachusetts. New Jersey now has legal civil unions. People are slowly beginning to realize that they have no right to make people of a different (or no) faith conform to their views.

Don't you wonder what homophobes like Ted Haggard would say if homosexuals were granted the same rights as heterosexuals? Who is gullible enough to take the self-serving arguments of hypocrits such as him?
