I think it's sad when it happens by accident and is a long, hard road to tow for any young person, no matter which option they choose, be it abortion, adoption or raising the child. Teens are still children, on the cusp of adulthood, but they don't realize that they don't have the advantages of good reasoning skills that someone 10 or even 5 years older has.

When it happens on purpose and teens actually try to get pregnant I think it's ludicrous. Our society does not place enough importance on kids suffering the consequences for their actions anymore, therefore the kids never learn boundaries or about accepting responsibility or about being accountable for their actions. They have no respect for authority because authority of any kind is now considered to be abusive. Therefore they feel that they can do anything they want without consequence and it is these babies who pay the price for having uneducated, irresponsible young parents with little future prospects for success, unless they have a very strong support system. Many times it is the grandparents who end up parenting these babies while the teens go off and continue partying. Once you have a baby, the party is supposed to be over.

Literally trying to conceive when you are a teenager is just not smart. You may think you know everything and that you don't care about what you could be giving up, but you might change your mind the older you get. I know a lot of moms who had kids as teenagers and while they love their children, they wish they had waited a little longer before becoming a mom.

I had my first child my senior year of high school. We struggled a lot and I was extremely lucky compared to most teen moms. The father stuck by me and supported us (we're actually married now with 4 kids) and we had a lot of family support. Some girls are not so lucky. I don't believe in regrets so I won't say I wish I had waited til I was older, I struggled a lot and I also learned a lot from the experience, but I do not recommend it to others.

If the girl is ages 12 to 17 it's a problem. All these people are wrong though. I was 17 when I chose to become pregnant. I was going to school for digital design. Then I went to work as a service writer. I had my son at age 18, got married at 19 and had my daughter at 19. I am set in life though. I have my own home, my car that I bought, and my children have a wonderful life. I wasn't like normal teenagers though. I wasn't sleeping around, I didn't dress crazy, and I took care of my mom's household. I never had a life or childhood. Having my two children enabled me to do something for the better, and they make my life perfect. So many people have stereotypes about other moms. I think we should just get to know other people, before we have them set in stone of what we think of them.

I doubt it. with none formal intercourse training in any respect I had a competent theory of the mechanics by technique of the time i grew to become into 11 and that grew to become into in 1960. i won't see how any 12 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous on the instant does not understand lots of the fundamentals, even without education by technique of parent or college. a baby might could be relatively unobservant, remoted or in a fashion, stupid, to no longer understand that. on the instant a curious baby has in user-friendly terms to feed a pair of words into an cyber web seek engine. they gets a lesson in the mechanics all genuine, what the won't get is warnings approximately being pregnant and illness. you're at a loss for words by technique of hysteria and fake non secular ranting which has been occurring for as long as i'm able to bear in concepts. coaching little ones the thank you to have intercourse without getting the girl pregnant is a fashion of scuffling with underage pregnancies, because of the fact many are going to have intercourse besides formerly say 18 years and that they already understand the mechanics. examine the underage being pregnant and abortion expenditures in countless countries and in areas interior those countries. Teenage abortion and being pregnant definitely correlate with decrease educational ranges, larger religiosity and relative poverty.

here we go! I think no teenager needs to have a baby. They don't know responsibitly and have not matured to handle it. No teenager needs a baby. A teen needs to be a teen and grow up and graduate from college before having a family. Yep, accidents happen. Who pays for the most in those irresponsible accidents? The baby and the grandparents do if the selfish teen wants to keep her baby. I have friends who were teen parents and wish like hell they would have watied. The have to work menial jobs because they barely graduated high school. Everything in their lives is penny to penny. Their kids also will have to rely on scholorships they might get to be able to go to college to have a better life than they did. Teen pregnancy should be outlawed! Sound harsh?! So does a life without a prayer of having anything worth much.

I think it is shooting yourself in the foot. I understand mistakes are made and things happen, but with all the openess and honesty about sex and the facts of life and birthcontrol there really are no excuses left. Take the precautions like the mature person that you (not YOU, just teens in general) claim to be and prevent pregnancy, or DO NOT HAVE SEX.

Having a baby so young sets up so many road blocks and difficulties and isn't fair to the child either.

I think if a teenager becomes pregnant accidentally then they need to be prepared to either give up the baby or devote their life to being an amazing mum.
I think it is wrong that some teenage parents think they can just have a baby and basically ignore it while they go off clubbing or hang out with their mates and leave it with their mums. Or feed it crap and swear and smoke in front of it.

I think it's a scary thing. A girl in my daughter's class (9th grade) just had a baby about a month ago and all I can think about is I hope my daughter has a better head on her shoulders than that or than me...I was 17 when she was born. It's something that has happened since the dawn of time, and it will keep happening until the end of time. All I can say is I hope the parents will be supportive of their kids when and if this happens.
